The story behind the books

Years ago, I found out my grandpa was secretly a published author. It was truly only secret because he wrote under a different name – Max Collier. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to have conversations with my grandpa on writing and his books before he passed away.

Bringing to life his original stories and sharing them with readers again has been a goal of mine for many years, and I’m so excited to share this first book with you. According to my family, the original stories were written in the 60s and 70s under the veil of a brown paper bag in the convenience store.

The themes were very racy for the time and may still continue today. While I don’t know the story behind the original book or if it was based off of any personal experience, I like to believe my grandpa had a crazy imagination that he passed onto me.

Each book is updated to more current events. Names, cities, locations, and more specific details have been updated as well.

Acknowledgements

First, this book would not have been possible without my grandpa’s capable knack for telling a good story. Growing up, I found out he was secretly publishing books under the name Max Collier. He passed away before I even knew he was a writer or had a chance to get the history and stories behind his alluring career. I decided to bring to life his original stories, previously published in the 60s and 70s under the veil of a brown paper bag in the convenience store.

A big thank you to my family who supported my decision to re-share these stories with you and continue to vote on their favorite cover choices.

A huge shout out to my editor Anna McHargue. Without her this project would not be nearly as fun and would definitely take twice as long.

Thank you to Fusion Creative Works for their skills to create fun and cohesive cover art designs.

As always, I’m so appreciative of Adriel for making sure this book was formatted correctly for you to have the best reading experience.

And to The Harmony Group for literally bringing harmony into my life so I could pursue my dream of being a published author.
